Shengmin Wen received the B.S. and M.S. from Beijing Institute of Technology. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in theoretical and applied mechanics at Northwestern University. His research is non-linear material modeling, small-scale structure fatigue life prediction and computational simulation, and the fundamentals of mechanics and materials. Mr. Wen is a member of ASME, TMS, and ASM.
