Sopan Joshi received the B.S. (1996) in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, and is currently pursuing the Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he is researching electrostatic discharge protection methods for submicron analog and radio-frequency integrated circuits. From 1996-1998, he was a microprocessor design engineer at Intel Corp., Santa Clara, CA. He has also held summer positions at Motorola, Inc., in Libertyville, IL (1999) and Tempe, AZ (2000). In addition to ESD and reliability physics, his interests include VLSI circuit and logic design, semiconductor device modeling, and circuit simulation. Mr. Joshi is a Student Member of the IEEE.
