LOCATION

Hyatt Regency Phoenix hotel is located in the heart of downtown Phoenix across the street from Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center, Symphony Hall, and Herberger Theater. Within walking distance to the hotel are the Arizona Center, Phoenix History Museum, and Heritage Square. Other attractions include the Arizona Science Center, America West Arena, and the Bank One Ballpark (home of Arizona Diamondbacks baseball)

FACILITIES

The hotel facilities include a health club with treadmills, exercise cycles, stair climbers and weight machines, pool bar, including outdoor wading pool and hot tub. Golf and tennis are available nearby. The Phoenix area boasts more than 140 golf courses and is considered the golf capital of the United States. TRANSPORTATION

United Airlines is the official airline for the 2004 IEEE - IRPS.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport offers a variety of transportation options.
SuperShuttle (for $6 oneway coupons) operates 24 hours a day on a time scheduled basis. It offers airport-to-door service. Vans depart at least every 15 minutes to all areas of the Valley from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with lesser frequencies from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Three taxi companies have contracted with Sky Harbor Airport to provide service to airport patrons. The three companies are: AAA Cab (602) 437-4000, Allstate (602) 329-1017 and Discount (602) 266-1110.
If you are renting a car (Avis - Official car rental company), daily self parking or valet parking is available at the hotel.

CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

All of the conference activities will be located in the Phoenix Civic Plaza directly across the street from the Hyatt Regency.
The Phoenix Civic Plaza is a large facility where the registration area, technical sessions, tutorial sessions, and equipment demonstration area are all centrally located (floor plan).

COMPANIONS' PROGRAM

The IRPS, is again, pleased to offer a Companions' Tour Program. In addition there will be a Hospitality Suite, for spouses and guests of IRPS attendees, open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Sundance Room at the Hyatt Regency.

SUNDAY/MONDAY TUTORIAL SESSIONS

Take advantage of two days of featured-packed topics presented by 34 industry experts. For those who are new to the field of reliability, there are sessions designed to provide an introduction to reliability topics of interest. Also, there are tutorial sessions designed to provide the experienced engineer with an opportunity to hear about new developments, exchange technical viewpoints, and broaden his/her technical skills with a variety of tutorials. MONDAY EVENING - EXHIBITIONS PROGRAM RECEPTION

Support the equipment demonstrators, and exhibitors, who support the IRPS by attending a hosted reception at the Phoenix Civic Plaza in the Exhibition Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Meet with the vendors to get a sneak preview of each company's latest tools. Utilize this access to your advantage by signing up for preferential one-on-one consultation times with the vendors of your choice. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.

TUESDAY EVENING - POSTER SESSION AND AWARDS RECEPTION

Make plans to attend the poster session and awards reception which will feature a special presentation: "The Wright Brothers and the First Decade of Powered Flight" given by Jim Lloyd, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. The awards for the 2003 IRPS Best and Outstanding papers will also be presented. Please come to congratulate these authors as well as discuss the poster papers that will also be presented. This reception will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening and will include light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.

WEDNESDAY EVENING - WORKSHOPS

Participate in any one of the Wednesday Night Workshops which cover a range of reliability topics of current interest. This is your chance to ask tough questions and challenge experts in the field! The workshops will be from 7:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. Sign up for the workshop topic of your interest on-site and/or email glenn.alers@novellus.com for specific needs. Exact room assignments will be provided on-site. All Workshops will be located in the Hyatt Regency.

Thursday Afternoon - RELIABILITY YEAR IN REVIEW SEMINAR

The IRPS is again, featuring a half-day Reliability-Year-In-Review seminar held on Thursday, April 29 from 1:35pm – 6:00pm. Industry experts will highlight the top papers of 2003 in Failure Analysis, Transistor Stability, Product Reliability, Dielectrics, and Nano Technology. There is a separate nominal charge for this seminar that is separate from that of the IRPS conference.
